after ID’ed, it had specific Stats, but after I Sanctified it, all the Stats got reset and some of them were different afterwards by comparison, for example I had Resistances All after ID’ed, but that Stat was replaced by Replenish Life after Sanctification was done).

It reset most (if not all?) the Stats that initially were present on the Shoulders when I first Identified it (I.E.

Now, unless I’m mistaken, I think that it did two things (but I’m not 100% sure about it hence why I’m asking here): Since that Primal Ancient was my best equipped item I decided to give a try to that consumable to ‘upgrade’ it and end up with one of the new powers provided by it. I eventually got that new Sanctifying item drop. But I haven’t played D3 in a while and some details of the end-game (for a Season) escaped me. So, pretty happy and the Stats were basically what I needed on it. It was the Shoulders for Wrath of the Wastes (which I happened to be using).

I did my first GR70 solo, and got my first Primal Ancient. I may have made a mistake and I wanted to ask here to be sure it wasn’t (or, if it was indeed a mistake).
